Ultrasuede® European Collection for Spring/Summer 2004

The Ultrasuede® European Collection for Spring/Summer 2004, which debuted at Première Vision in Paris this past February, is now available in the U.S.

Designed, produced and finished in Italy by TUA sister company Alcantara SpA, the Ultrasuede® European Collection combines advanced techniques with this year’s most sought-after color ranges. Serene tones evoke the elemental tranquility of water, earth and sky, with unique tonalities achieved through the use of special treatments. The result is a collection that navigates effortlessly between simplicity and complexity and between subtlety and frankness.

The Spring/Summer 2004 Collection is comprised of "Pearl," "Sand," "Stone" and "Prints," each featuring one or more of the following novelty techniques:

• Directional single or dual laser patterns in plant, floral or wave-like motifs
• Prints inspired by Asian and Folk cultures
• Reversible dual-pattern embossing
• Forward surface effects created with hued waxing, metallic marbled foils and scattered glazed laminations

New York City-based designers who worked with the Ultrasuede® European Collection this past runway season include Cynthia Steffe and Francis Hendy.
